Originally developed for the military, Atomic Energy Commission and the industrial packaging industry. Humidial color change indicator cards now serve an ever-increasing range of industries from aerospace through electronics. Humidial humidity indicator cards have set   the standards for humidity detection with special applications for activated desiccants, Method II packaging and Dry Pack packaging. Humidial cards are reversible, as required by Military Specification MIL-I-8835, and they are accurate to plus or minus 5% relative humidity (RH) at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. They are easy to use and read. As the humidity level increases, spots change from a blue color (DRY), through lavender, to a pink color (HUMID). Cards are packaged with care in re-sealable containers complete with DesiPak^® desiccant for extended shelf life. Color change humidity cards are available in a variety of sizes and shapes and are designed for use with any application requiring the monitoring of relative humidity. They indicate RH levels from 8% to 95% and provide an easy to read "go or no go" indication of a products condition.

As the proven leader in relative humidity detection devices, Humidial cards are designed for a variety of specialized applications. Where temperature and humidity are factors, Humidial cards can provide a solution. Customized cards have been created for many specific applications including medical uses such as measuring humidity in incubators where changes in RH are of critical importance. Specialized cards are designed to monitor RH levels in the shipping of musical instruments, such as pianos. From the medical industry to the arts, Humidial's customized humidity indicator cards are helping people monitor RH and solve humidity problems. Customized cards can be manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes including special die-cuts and configurations. Single spot, die-cut "dots" with adhesive backing can be attached almost anywhere to measure a specific RH in air-compressor lines and air filters. Cards can be printed in foreign languages and can include company name, address, logo, and special colors (except for the humidity indicator strips). All customized cards can measure RH levels from 8% to 95%. Regardless of the industry or application, Humidial's customized humidity indicator cards are designed to meet the challenge.

Applications that demand monitoring for maximum humidity require the dependability of Humidial's irreversible humidity indicator cards. Designed for products that have been exposed for a period of 24-hours or more, these cards indicate the highest RH attained during the shipping or storing period. A set of orange indicating dots represent set humidity levels. When RH exceeds a dot's level, the dot will bleed into the surrounding white paper and turn a yellow/orange color.

Irreversible humidity indicator cards are an inexpensive and simple way to determine if storage or shipping containers have been exposed to high humidities. Cards are packaged in a moisture barrier bag with a  DesiPak^® desiccant which protects them until they are used. Humidial offers three standard irreversible humidity indicator cards. The MX56789 measures maximum humidity from 50%-90%. Dissolved dots indicate the highest RH that the container was exposed to for a prolonged period (24-hours or more). The MXC56789 features the dot indicators plus a reversible humidity indicator strip. The 8672942 has a single dot of 50%.

Humidial produces a line of specialized humidity indicator cards for customer applications that do not require Military Specifications. This standard commercial product line meets the same high quality standards as MIL-SPEC cards, and can be personalized with company name, logo and special information. They are attractive, inexpensive, and adaptable to any application where humidity and temperature are of interest.

The standard commercial cards use the same proven color indication method as MIL-SPEC and custom cards. As the humidity increases the chemically impregnated spots change from a blue color (DRY) through a lavender, to a pink color (HUMID). As the humidity level decreases the spots change from a pink color (HUMID), through lavender, to a blue color (DRY).

Personalized commercial cards add to product/company identification while helping to insure proper packaging of sensitive products. Commercial cards are available in a variety of styles and sizes with or without thermometers.
